Hi, guys,
Kinda surprised seeing my softphone registered and all (eyeBeam), but at the same time Voipuser logo says Offline, info on My SIP Account page goes: "You do not currently have a SIP device logged into our server", and calls from peers won't come through...
Anything wrong with the server or my account? |

Ignore the info on the MySIP account page for the moment - we're fixing it up.
Which peer in particular ? |

Well...
When dialing from FWD **4480844933... and from SipBroker (Voxalot) *4480844933..., the caller will receive "Dialing PSTN number denied".
Calls made in the sip:xxxx@voipuser.org format seem to be alright..
But the latter format won't work for flashphone.ru users (the only way to call since no prefix support). |

I think your problem arises because making a voipuser PSTN call requires authentication. If your call is not authenticated then it will be rejected. It is possible to send authentication with the request but I don't think voipuser will accept it if you are not logged in to voipuser. Really this is a sensible security measure. |

My understanding *4480844... and **4480844... ARE NOT exactly PSTN calls. Why are they being recognized as such, all of a sudden, is a big question to me. They are p2p calls, aren't they?
Right now I've got no one in the UK to try to call my number as a PSTN number from a regular line. And I can't call 0844 numbers from abroad.
Anyway, I'm still offline on My Sip Account page. Maybe there's the rub? |

P2P calls do not appear to be working.
I tried from Callcentric and had no luck via SIPBroker,
user [!at] voipuser.org (replace the [!at] with a @), or 0844xxxxxxx [!at] voipuser.org (replace the [!at] with a @).
All have worked previously, so I assume it is related to the server thingy last week. |

hi all.
p2p calls that are dialled by username (i.e. forum name) will work and are linked to the same SIP account as the 0844x numbers are. There is a problem with the lookup procedure for p2p calls involving these aliased pstn numbers.
we're looking into it and hope to have it fixed quickly. I'll post in this forum (not topic) when we do |

hi, guys
Thanks a lot. Now everything seems to work... except one little thing:
flashphone.ru users can't call me dialing my username [!at] voipuser.org (replace the [!at] with a @) |

A problem still seems to exist with the 0844 numbers called from FWD and Voxalot or even direct. They seem to be seen as PSTN and fail because of lack of authentication or are disallowed because the are 844 numbers(?). Calling PSTN numbers when registered to Voxalot work fine as they should. Lady Echo seems to be getting treated the same from here at present ... she gets rejected. |

The problem is still there. I can't dial another user's 08449xxxxxx number and don't have the option of using their ID as I have a wifi phone connected through Trixbox. Any update on when the lookup issue might be resolved? |
