HI.
You have a great forum here and from the posts I have read, I am sure you guys will be able to help me.
I have 2 SPA-3102's and need them to be able to do the following:
Each device is in a different location, each connected to a PSTN and Internet with dynamic IP.
Lets call the devices A and B. Both are using a registered SIP account with the same privider which allows free calls between them...
NEED 1:
I need a call to come in to A via PSTN, if no answer the call must be diverted B, B must ring the handset connected to it, and if no answer, it must divert the call out via its PSTN line to another PSTN number.
NEED 2:
I need to pick up the handset on B, and dial out via the PSTN on A (not by default as I will also need to make voip calls on B using its sip account).
Both A and B should still be able to make and recieve calls via their SIP account.
Is this possible or am I expecting too much from these devices?
Regards

Welcome to Voipuser forums.

The 3102s should be able to manage this. The incoming PSTN on A would be transferred to Voip to call B. B can transfer the call to its PSTN line.

This is more difficult to set up to work smoothly as you would be using Voip to call A. It should work but not as simple as dialing directly to PSTN as you at least will get a pause before you can dial on A's PSTN. You may need to experiment a bit to get the best results. |

Thanks for the link, his solution is almost exactly what I need to do.
The only difference is that he has a static IP for each device.
As I am setting up using dynamic IP, can i input the sip account settings in the dial plan, ie:
Dial Plan 1: S0<21:@192.168.1.51:5060>.
Change to
Dial Plan 1: S0<21:@user@sipprovider.com>.
Or is there another way to do this? |

A quick search on the Siura/Linksys section of the Voxilla forum will give you some further inspiration as will a search on the voip-info.org wiki.
Bear in mind that the 3102 is a rebadged Sipura 3000 so as far as I am aware the resources are interchangable. |

I is worth getting the SPA 3000 manual from the Sipura site as much of it applies to the 3102. The 3102 is very similar to the 3000 but not the same. You should be able to use the address, provider.com,to replace the IP address (without the user@ ) |

I don't use either of these two devices; however, I don't suppose the firmware is interchangeable. An SPA3K is merely an ATA with a built-in FXO/FSX port where as an SPA3K02 is an SPA3K + router. |
