I've had various issues with call limits, and most don't seem to be very stable.

I want to make an extension busy if someone is on the phone, but allow the user on the phone to make more than one call (transfer sets up a second call with the Aastra's we're using)

In the past I've found that the asterisk call counter can go to zero thereby disabling the phone completely. Anyone know of a simple mechanism to do this basic chore? I'm using 1.4.

regards

Hi
You did read the release notes for v2.1 and 2.1.2 for the aastra handsets? They introduced setting to do just this way back then, along with many settings to do with interrupting dialling

hmm, unless I'm mistaken, this change only applies to the 5 series and not the 480/9133i etc

Well found a solution.

I've backported the DEVSTATE function. This allows me to check the hint status. If it's anything other than NOT-INUSE I play busy tones. Works well. Going to run it for a week or so before I deploy, just in case

Regards
