hi, I'm in charge of a small office network that has several computers (5-6) and some voip lines (from vonage). I want too know what device(specified, like model and brand) i could use too "separate" the bandwidth so calls are not affected when someone is downloading or browsing though heavy web pages.

In the past i was not able too solve this issue with a device and i recommended people on buying too separate internet channels. Decent quality Internet service is expensive in my country 200-400 US dollars for 256kbps.

Greetings griever and welcome to VoIPUser forum.

What you want is a router that has a support for QoS (Quality of Services) configure to prioritize VoIP packets.

Some routers will allow you to split the bandwidth so that you can assign a specific amount to voip. I used to have problems with torrent users and that is how controlled it (I think it was a Netgear router initially and then aa old computer running Clark Connect server).
