It really will be a hard press for anyone to be able to help you unless you post your configuration for readers to look. |

Bushuu, welcome, if this phone like a N61i you have to configure some things, first. your sip configuration profile,in the tools menu -> config -> conections -> SIP configs. You have to add a new profile with your data and a access point defined, your public user is XXXX@nnnnn where XXXX is your user and nnnnn is your domain or IP. On proxy and registrar options you have to push your XXXX client code "without domain".
After config the sip configuration profile, you have to select the Internet Phone option (in the conection menu) and declare a profile and inside this indicate the sip configuraton profile.
Witj this it have to work

Hi,
I have previously used Truphone sucessfully on my N95, bith over Wifi and O2's 3G network (I'm on an all you can eat data package).
I now want to start using VoIPuser - and have set up an account and made some calls to the 0844 number to get a positive balance and entered the following into my Nokia N95 under the SIP settings:
Profile Name: Voipuser
Service profile: IETF
Default access point: O2 Mobile Web
public user name SIP:[myusername]@voipuser.org
use compression: No
Registration: When needed
Use security: No
Proxy Server:
Proxy server address: sip:sip.voipuser.org
Realm: asterisk
Username: [my voipuser login]
Password: [my voipuser password]
Allow loose routing: Yes
Transport Type: Auto
Port: 5060
Register Server:
Proxy server address: sip:sip.voipuser.org
Realm: asterisk
Username: [my voipuser login]
Password: [my voipuser password]
Allow loose routing: Yes
Transport Type: Auto
Port: 5060
However, even if I use my WifFi access point or O2's mobiel web I cannot connect my Nokia N95 sucessfully let along make calls. Can anybody help and prehaps advice on correct settings.
Cheers, Duke. |

Your PSTN access is active so you should be able to make calls. Can you make calls from a computer using a voip client such as Zoiper or X-Lite? |

Your PSTN access is not yet active. Have you requested access? I take about 3 days for access to be activated after application. |

So, I have waited the 72 hours and recived a confirmstion email saying my account is live. However I still am unable to connect using my N95, eith via O2 Mobile Web, or via my own wifi / broadband connection. I simply receive an'unable to connect to the connection network error'. However truphone still connects quite happly
I have sucessfully made a call using sipXphone via my home WiFi so know my account is in working order and seen the connection confirmation on VoIP user.
Anybody got any ideas on how to connect a N95 - which of my settings are causing me problems? |

Yes, your account is active now. I hope someone will be able to help you with your connection problems. Can you make calls through Voipuser via a normal PC using a voip client such as X-Lite ot Zoiper? |

Have you checked that your airtime contract includes the ability to connect to a third party VOIP provider? |

yes,
Airtime contract includes VoIp - Truphone works fine. Anyhow not working over WiFi connection either, which makes me think it is to do with the settings in the phone.
Any ideas? |

It might be best if you posted your settings so that we can see if we can spot the problem. |

Sorry, missed the setup.... off my rather tiny screen!
public user name SIP:[myusername]@sip.voipuser.org
use compression: No
Registration:Yes
Use security: No
Proxy Server: sip.voipuser.org
Proxy server address: sip.voipuser.org
Realm: voipuser.org
Username: [my voipuser login]
Password: [my voipuser password]
Allow loose routing: Yes
Transport Type: UDP
Port: 5060
Register Server: sip.voipuser.org
Proxy server address: sip.voipuser.org
Realm: voipuser.org
Username: [my voipuser login]
Password: [my voipuser password]
Allow loose routing: Yes
Transport Type: UDP
Port: 5060
The "sip:" might be needed ... try with and without.
I have emboldened some changes that I would try. But I am only guessing as I have never seen one of these phones and data contracts are too expensive here to use for voip. Try checking "My SIP Account" on Voipuser to see if the phone registers. |
