No sound with asterisk

Hi,

I have a very simple setup for asterisk.
everything is on the 192.168.1.X network. One computer running asterisk, one polycom phone. No hardware cards in the machine.

I try to call into asterisk and run playback(demo-congrats).
The CLI says is playing but I hear no audio.
I run echo and I see packets sent and got.
I run rtp debug I see packets got but NOT sent.

How can I find out why asterisks is not sending and thus me
not hearing audio.

I have no firewall on this box.

I am at a loss?
