Greetings all!
I have 3 computers and I would like to use 3 different
Dial-up ISP's (that I will have paid accounts with), one for each computer, used simultaneously.
I only have one phone line available, and a highspeed broadband ISP.
Is it at all possible to use the broadband connection to dial into a dial-up ISP? (using Voip and my computer's
dial-up modem) or by any other way you know?
Thanks so much!

can you explain a little more about what you are trying to acheive and why? i would assume that the ISP's are not connected to the internet(or why not access the services of the ISP directly via IP?).

Hi

Unless im missing something, why dont you get a router connected to your broadband and have all the Computers access the internet over that. This will save you money as you will only have 1 ISP to pay for, and to be honest you wont be able to connect over voip to a ISP in any usable and reliable way anyway.

It's certainly possible. I live in Canada. I went to Toronto a couple of years ago. The hotel did not provide Internet access except at a hefty charge. I couldn't borrow any free WiFi either. However, a VoIP provider I was using (Primus) had Toronto numbers I could call where I could log into my account and place outgoing calls for free to home.

I used a long dial string to use this to call into my ISP at home. It worked fine! 50kbps. 1200 ms latency though, which is pretty bad, but the speed was reasonable.

If you merely want to use multiple computers on the Internet simultaneously, a router is the way to go. You can put many computers on the Internet simultaneously that way. Also, some IPs will give you multiple IP addresses to let you hook more than one computer up directly, without a router. You just need an Ethernet switch or hub to do this. (The router is a slightly more complex but more elegant solution.)
