My both trunks with freedigits cannot register. Used to be phone numbers in 515 area code.
Upon calling on my old phone numbers I get streaming audio from broadcasting.com or something. Logging into account I see no phone numbers and no history of my payments with $0 balance. Outrageous.

Am I the only lucky one here who got ripped off? Does anybody know anything about that problem?

The webpoint communication services(freedigits, sipnumber, talkdigits, officedigits, faxdigits, calldigits) have had problems off and on for years. customer service is non existent so do not waste your time emailing them; calls are answered by a service that will only ask for your name and number and you will never get a call back. the good part is that the problems come and than go away in a few days or week. most recently they had problem with the 641 area code number and 515 was working fine; now it has switched from the 641 to the 515. also consistently only 2 or 3 of the six services websites are functioning; they seem to be on some sort of rotation(ex. either talkdigits or freedigits but never both at the same time)

my advice is that the numbers are free and great for experimentation etc. but i would not use them for anything that required reliability. for anything critical i would recommend using a commercial DID provider that provides customer support and pay the $2 or $3 a month.
