I have Voipbuster and want to know if they issue you a 747-XXX-XXXX number to your account? I've looked and I can't even find out any sort of number assigned to me...

Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Tom

747-xxx-xxxx is a unique sort of number associated with gizmo project accounts only. i am not a voipbuster user but i do believe that they support SIP URI dialing. your URI would be something like username [!at] voipbuster.com (replace the [!at] with a @). this is how users of other sip services can call you for free. you could also set up a sipbroker alias at sipbroker.com then you will have a numeric code that can be dialed from a sip device with traditional phone keypad or by dialing any sipbroker number worldwide.

cheers

VB seems to have dropped the provision of any kind of inbound number (strange really as if they did it correctly it would generate a further income for them)

This info from the VB FAQ ...

i have wondered if they dropped the DID's as part of an effort to not be classified as 'phone line replacement' in some of there markets and therefore have to provide emergency calling, etc.
