Hi all,

Thanks again for the previous help. I'm about 75% of the way fixing the cordless phone issue so we just have to wait for some hardware to turn up!

In the meantime I have a new problem. I've just bought myself a very nice Nokia E51 and I've got problems getting voipbusterpro.com to work on it. I've tried every combination I can think of without any luck. I have however managed to get voipuser.org working perfectly on it so I'm not sure what's going on.

Perhaps somebody out there has already got it working and can post their settings?

Here are mine just for reference:

Profile Name: VoIP Buster Pro
Service Profile: IETF
Default Access Point: (WLAN setup)
Public username: sip:{my VoIP Buster Pro username}
Use Compression: No
Registration: When needed
Use Security: No

Proxy Server
Proxy Server address: sip:sip.voipbusterpro.com
Realm: voipbusterpro.com
Username: {my VoIP Buster Pro username}
Password: {my VoIP Buster Pro password}
Allow loose routing: Yes
Transport type: Auto
Port: 5060

Registrar Server
Registrar Server address: sip:sip.voipbusterpro.com
Realm: voipbusterpro.com
Username: {my VoIP Buster Pro username}
Password: {my VoIP Buster Pro password}
Allow loose routing: Yes
Transport type: Auto
Port: 5060

Just for reference, there are no blocked ports on my firewall as I have this working with my 486 grandstream router and through a software client.

If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it very much!

Thanks!

Nick

beanbag :
Registrar Server address: sip:sip.voipbusterpro.com

Just a wild guess:

I just wondered if VoIPBuster has provided a SIP Registrar Address server for its clients to use. Can you confirm this? Without a SIP Registrar Address server, you will need to resort to use either an Outbound Proxy server (provided by the ISP) or any publicly accessible STUN server. If your E51 has a support for STUN options, go with this approach.

These are the official VoIP Buster Pro settings so they definitely have a registrar server:

Quote:
General
SIP port : 5060
Registrar : sip.voipbusterpro.com
Proxy server : sip.voipbusterpro.com
Outbound proxy server : leave empty
Account name : your VoipBuster Pro username
Password : your VoipBuster Pro password
Display name/number : your VoipBuster Pro username or voipnumber
Stunserver (option) : stun.voipbusterpro.com

Is there anything on there that you can see will help?

Cheers Smile

Here is what I had tested so far:

  1. Since a PAP2v2 has a support for a SIP Registrar Server which is identified on its Registrar Server field, I put it to some tests and configured it with my old VoIPBuster account using the information you provided.
  2. Regardless if I configured my PAP2v2 with a sip.voipbusterpro.com string on its Registrar Server field or not, I was able to call/converse with my UK/US numbers.

So, it looks like this isn't an issue at all on my tests, AFAIC. If your E51 can support STUN options, try to use it to see if this will resolve the issue.

Welcome to Voipuser forums.

You need to post your configuration information from your phone (omit passwords).
