recently received Acanac 1 yr free VOIP service, it's been 5 days, everything is fine, I enjoy those caller ID and voice email service. the only bad side is that it's very much not easy to setup a VOIP router that connect to a regular phone. the Xlite software is not bad, can't depend on it when there's incoming call if it's not on, I don't want to check the voice mail every minute. If Acanac can provide free technical support to its customer it'll be great.

providing customer support is often one of the biggest expense at a VOIP company. therefore it is very rare that a free(or promotional) service can provide support. but you are in the right place; if you post the details of your router/ATA than someone here may be able to help you configure it.

regular phone. the Xlite software is not bad, can't depend on it when there's incoming call if it's not on, I don't want to check the voice mail every minute. great.

There are plenty of voice mail services. The service that I use sends and email when voice mail has been left and my phones signal when there is voice mail. The voice mail can be played from the browser.
With X-Lite, you probably need to buy the full version to get voice mail. Check the Counterpath website for information.
