Does anyone know of an Internet Telephone Service Provider that has good call hunting features when you only want to purchase one phone line?

The specific situation that I’m trying to accommodate for is this:

Using Trixbox as a PBX, the customer would call in to the pbx, upon no answer from within the office, the call would then hunt to an associates’ cell phone. Then when the associate’s cell wouldn’t pickup, it would hunt over to my cell phone.

Would you know if features offered that can accomplish what I’m describing from a VoIP provider like Broadvoice or another popular one?

This is straightforward and I would of thought that most VoIP SP would allow a outgoing call at the same time as a incoming one. My service definately allows this.

I cant comment on other SP but my question is do you want a popular one or one that works Smile

Jon,

I'd rather have one that works.

Which one do you use?

I was giong to use trixbox for the pbx, but I thought that the service provider had to hunt the calls over to different phones for me, else I had thought my pbx would require the use of two logical or physical phone lines to do the same job. However, I don't know how this interaction happens.

What the OP is after is having the callforwarding being controlled from the itsps end, All the centrex solutions on offer will do this and some of the basic lines will as well.

It will be cheaper to have the carrier control this, because as long as you dont let * answer the caller will only pick up a call charge for the transfered leg, If you let * do it for you they will pick up th ecall to you and you to your mobile.
