Hi,

My 0844 number drops calls after four inbound rings. I've also got a friend who has an 0844 number which also drops calls after four inbound rings.

Can we make this longer?

Cheers

As in when the calling party calls me, the following happens:

1. Connects
2. Ring ring
3. Ring ring
4. Ring ring
5. Ring ring
6. Unobtainable (continuous) tone

Forgot to say, this is when dialling the 0844 number, and connecting to Snom and Linksys PAP2T devices.

Must be a setting on the Snom or Linksys device I would think.

Anything in the manual ?

Nothing that I can spot. The phone was borrowed from another system, and on that system it doesn't have that problem.

I was wondering if anyone with experience of the SIP protocol could explain it by saying that if the server doesn't receive a certain reply from the handset then it would presume the handset wasn't ringing, or something like that...

Any settings I should be looking out for?
