I'm a Mac user trying to make Sjlabs work with G729 Codec.
I'm also new in this game, trying to find method in the madness!

THis question has come up before. I would have thought that requiring 729 at your end shoulf force the Sipgate server to use it but this does not seem to be the case

Sipgate seems to suggest the G 726 codec her

Perhaps the don't offer G 729.

I just did a test with sipgate yesterday myself, and they do support the G.729 codec. I was using the Counterpath "Bria" softphone, as it's the only one I have a G.729 codec for.
