Google map on the SIP Account page

Hi,

Can I ask how you rigged together that IP-to-Coordinates thing on the SIP page? Just that I'm trying to get together a very crude IP-to-Postcode thing, and wanted to research some starting points...

I just used the Google API to do the mapping, and the MaxMind database for doing the IP lookups.

Maxmind returns the lat/long pair, so you could target postcode form that but you'd need to buy the database from the post office, and it's expensive.

Hi Not looked at the API but googlemaps can do postcode to locaion accurately at least.

The project's not finished yet, but you can get some public domain postcode data from http://www.npemap.org.uk/
