We are opening a new office, and will set up a VoIP remote system at this office in about 6 months. In the mean time, I am ordering copper lines for this office and I need to order phones. My boss wants me to buy VoIP phones that we can use on the remote VoIP later, but I have not been able to find a phone or adaptor that will permit a VoIP phone on an analog line.

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks! Leigh

Hello Leigh and welcome to Voipuser

Analogue Lines are prevalent in most places I know with the exception perhaps of Germany which is still pretty strong on ISDN.

Most VOIP ATA devices (Linksys, Grandstream, etc) provide an outlet for a standard analogue phone. So your actual phone instruments will work either ...

1) When attached to an existing analogue phone line
or
2) When attached to an ATA

There are reviews of most common devices here on the forum (see Voip Phone Reviews in the menu to the left of this).
