Hello there

I am having no end of greif with this , I have got it all running in virtual machine all nice can accsess all the webpages from inside my network make outgoing calls , but this is where it all goes pete tong.

Because its on a virtual machine it cannot be accsess using my usuall ISP IP number and BT also wont connect to it from outside. How do I go about making my trixbox actually be avalible from the outside world. I have tried using my default gateway IP with no avail.

P.S my isp is connected using cable and it goes through a windows xp machine 1st using internet conection shareing.

Any help you could shed would be very very welcomed

Gee, I don't think I have ever used internet connection sharing. Can you buy a cheap router? If you can access the router remotely, then foward ports to the vm. should be good to go.

Thanks for your responce.

Should anyone else want a solution to this , a router is not required

I have my pbx system 2 pc's away from the pc that actually has the interconection. All you need to do is go to your internet gateway , select advanced , and put in a simple port forward and whalla , your good to go.
Also make sure you have bridged option on VMserver. (the netwrork card emulation setting). So its pretty straight forward to use Trixbox + Freepbx on a windows operating system.
Mines working a treat now , apart from a few bits and bobs not working but Its not a network problem!.
