i have all the files not but the phone just sits blinking the call lights. IT does not request a DHCP at all. If I plug the phone into a cisco call server, it downloads the latest software from there but I cannot get it to download the SIP firmware from my machine with tftpd and a crossover cable.

No crossover cable needed, try a standard one
