Hi All;
i'm a newbie and i have a big problem.
i have to install a trixbox box in a network where all the traffic is going through squid proxy port 3128. even if i open that port in squid, my box and the phones can't register. is there somebody who can help me ?

Hi, Welcome to Voipuser.

You will have severe problems trying to push SIP through an Internet proxy, even if you manage, it will add unacceptable delays, especially if you are caching.

Your best bet is to employ forwarding at the firewall to redirect SIP UDP ports direct to the server, normally 5060 and 10,000 up (as high as you want to go) and don't let them touch Squid at all!
