I have acquired at least a unit of this
Uniden UIP1869V Vonage Compatible 5.8GHz Digital VoIP Telephone. I know this is the only model of Router/VoIP phone made by Uniden for Vonage in the US. Thus, the support from Uniden on this device is a point finger to Vonage and Vonage will refuse to support this device unless the device is registered to its service, i.e. you must be a Vonage customer. What I don't know is if Uniden has produced / sold this device in EU and provides a support on it. In other words, I am looking for a new firmware (EU or NA and not Vonage version) released by Uniden to replace the one on my device in hope to get it unlocked completely (sort of what has been done
here on a
Linksys/Vonage locked WRTP54G VoIP router).
Please note, unlike a
Uniden UIP1868P, this unit is based on a CYT chipset. Thus, both units are incompatible even though they look alike.
