Hello guys,
I know that this is a forum for VoIP, but many providers is offering SMS also. I am wondering if anyone knows or can recommend any open source SMS billing platforn or whatever possibilities the carrier have. I would like to offer SMS along with the voice service, but they would have to be being billed on another machine.
Cna anyone help me?
thank you

Hi

Basically when you move over to multi platform offering sIE voice SMS etc you will then need a provisioning and billing platform that when a user says the want option a b and c the provisioning platform prvisions those and then the billing platform aggregates the different call records into one bill.

These do exist but I don't know of any open source ones. most are, because of their nature, customised for each user. The one I know of that is commercially available has a starting price of £2Million + and a yearly support bill of £100K upwards.

I have also worked on custom ones for Mobile operators when integrating in new systems.

You need to get your various billing streams into databases and then query all of them to produce the customers Bill.
